HATHA YOGA CLASSES
This is for just starting out a yoga practice. Absolute beginners are encouraged to do a 4weeks BEGINNERS BASICS Course before joining Foundation class.
This will include foundational approach to the physical yoga postures (asana), some breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation (savasana). All these will be taught with the basic underpinning of yogic philosophy.
It is recommended that students stay with foundation level classes for at least a couple of terms of consistent practice before moving into Integrating classes. Click here to see when classes are on.
Integrating classes are suited to those who have done at least a couple of terms of foundation classes consistently or have had practiced yoga consistently for the past few years elsewhere.
These classes are 1.25 hour long and will include physical postures (asana), breathe practice (pranayama) as well relaxation. the classes may be consist of a combination of short flowing sequences and some static holds. Students will be building and deepening their understanding of the various yogic practices in these classes.

Integrating flow class is a flowing dynamic hatha yoga class suited to those who have had practiced yoga consistently for the past few years elsewhere.
These classes are 1.25 hour long and will include physical postures (asana), breathe practice (pranayama) as well relaxation through sun salutation (surya namaskar). Students will be building and deepening their understanding of the various yogic practices in these classes. Click here to see when classes are on.
PRIME YOGA – Class for maturing bodies
A class suited to mature bodies, promoting spinal flexibility, resilience and mental balance.
This gently-paced practice includes yoga postures sensitive to your needs, mindful breathing techniques and deep relaxation to maintain mobility and optimal health.
You can attend this class without any experience with yoga or otherwise.

Our kid’s yoga classes are specifically designed for the age group with age appropriate physical poses, self calming techniques and activities.
At Reconnect Yoga, we believe this is a valuable time and a privilege for us to share the practice of yoga with your child. There is great effort in making the classes engaging and meaningful for your child.
We currently offer TWEENS (8-12 years old) and TEENS (12+ Yrs Old). Next course starts in Feb 2016
This class is specially catered towards individuals with limited mobility, recovering from injuries or operations or for those after a gentler yoga practice.
The class will involve supported physical postures, breath practice, relaxation and meditation.
This class will not require participants to sit on the floor.
Students may be completely supported with props.

The practice of yoga during pregnancy not only strengthen the body to support the mother in the pregnancy but also cultivates a presence of mind whereby the expecting mother can make informed decisions with their support person during the pregnancy journey and impending birth.
How is Prenatal yoga class different to our weekly hatha class?
During pregnancy, the woman’s body is flooded with hormonal changes that means that students will need to modify their practice appropriately. Physical postures (asana) that will assist optimal fetal positioning with be emphasized, breath practice (pranayama) to cultivate presence of mind and assist with dealing with the intensity of birth will be introduced, relaxation suited to pregnancy will be covered. MUM & BUBS - POST-PREGNANCY CLASS
This is dedicated class towards post natal recovery and for those who are not able to practice due to childcare responsibility.
This class will include somatic movements to regain/maintain freedom of movement, yoga practices for strengthening and relaxation to promote a sense of support for mother and baby.
A 1 hour class to enjoy with or without your little one. Suitable to women 6 weeks post vaginal delivery or 10 - 12 weeks post caesarean delivery.

RELAXATION AND MEDITATION
It is an undeniable that we do too much on a daily basis. In a culture of constant doing and achieving, Busy-ness is glorified and the value of rest is undermined.
This 1.5hours long class is an opportunity remedy that. The class focuses on re-balancing the nervous system towards the parasympathetic nervous system and rejuvenate our bodies through restorative yoga and yoga nidra, the practice of supportive physical postures, breathing practices and meditation to bring on a sense of deep relaxation.
The willingness to relax is all that is needed in this class. The body’s natural healing abilities is brought to the fore.
