‘I am thankful and grateful to my teachers, husband, daughter, family and the community for supporting my creative expression of my truth, without your support I would still be dreaming. Peace and Namaste’
As Sue Scales takes a well earned break and head towards warmer weather up North, The studio is very fortunate to have her classes covered by Carmen – an experienced yoga teacher and a migrant from the north. Here is a little about Carmen.
Carmen Ceniza is the founder and Director of Lila Yoga. Coming from a stressful professional career, she started practicing for the physical and mental benefits. As she became more involved in her practice, her fascination and love for learning led her to a wonderful life journey as a Yogini. Carmen started attending spiritual retreats at the Brahma Kumaris spiritual centre Leura and Satyananda Yoga in Mangrove Mountain seeking understanding and knowledge of yogic scriptures and philosophies.
In 2006 Carmen took the life changing and challenging decision to become a Yoga teacher and studied at Samadhi Yoga now known as Jivamukti Centre, Newtown under the tutelage of Katie Manitsas, an advanced certified Jivamukti teacher and Kundalini teacher. Carmen also travelled to India to attain her Kundalini teacher qualification under the guidance of Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa.
She believes in creating accessible classes, private meditation / breath work sessions and also honouring the value of human touch by making personal connections, through regular workshops, retreats and events at different locations around Australia and internationally.
